Imponderables
It rained all day today. Hard, almost sleety at times. It was as dark as sunset, without the accompanying sense of a day well spent. The sound of the rain on the roof was comforting though. I thought about the seeds I planted on Beltane and hoped that the moisture would bring blossoms in a couple of weeks. Delusional in this latitude, but harmless.

I heard from the one friend who was paralysed during the past election. It sounds to me as though she has so many prescription drugs being dumped into her system that they are now impairing her ability to think or to act, let alone heal. She is going to a naturopath and it does sound as though they are trying to wean her off. However, I have to wonder if there is anyone in the medical community who is keeping track of all her prescriptions and their interactive effects. All those specialists keep pushing pills on her, but they aren't talking to each other. A couple of friends writing to detail their recent holidays made for a daydream - just for a little while.

My sister's sister-in-law wrote today too. She had done a meditation at the full moon and felt it helped her. Like me, coming back to the daily grind was difficult. It is curious, but all last week I experienced the symptoms I used to have when I had regular menstrual cycles. That happenes on an irregular basis, but never several days in a row. My sister's sister-in-law said she had a similar experience last week that took her back to her early days when she would be in full flood. She said her body doesn't have the stamina anymore to deal with that amount of blood loss. Too unexpected. I know there were a number of concurrent astrological aspects of various asteroids such as Ceres, Chiron and Juno to each other and the planets and there was a powerful Virgo moon influence. Maybe the combination had something to do with it.

Not a lot to say today - just news mainly. All those bridges collapsing even without the earthquakes as a reason was a bit strange. Burning bridges seemed to be a theme this week too. A lot of medical breakthroughs in areas once derided or shunned by the mainstream medical community made my day - especially the tai chi measurements. Building bridges was a balancing act all around the world. Unexpected behaviour by various celebrities seemed the norm too. Too much pressure (Shame on Warner Brothers) and not enough time to be themselves, I guess. And then there's the government. They could be described as the universal clown if not for the incredible damage they inflict on the most vulnerable among us. This week a hockey team captain was hauled up in parliament while local, environmental and foreign policy issues begged for resolution.

Time to stop pondering and start dreaming dear diary. My body was one unhappy camper today. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
