Meditations
Two grandbabies and my number one son at home when I arrived last night. The two little ones seemed to be having a great time. Enthralled with Harry Potter they sat and watched with rapt attention - at least until Miss Kitty walked by. Equally enthused with her, until the toys scattered from one end of the house to the other caught their eyes. Then there was the indulgent uncle to play with too. It would be fun to have that kind of energy to invest in everything one does again - maybe. My son packed up several bags of books to take home, including some our favorite read aloud stories. Good for the babies. My son has exhibited excellent parenting skills - something I wouldn't have necessarily predicted a few years ago. I guess they really do grow up.

More Mercury retrograde - the computer I have at work hasn't run properly since last Thursday, when that big record I'd indexed was lost. Yesterday one of the IT staff came by to rebuild the beast. Of course, the darn thing ran as smooth as butter the moment he walked into the library - just like my brother with my home computer. Nice guy though. He just agreed that computers feared mighty techs like my brother and him and reconfigured some of my files. I started to explain that I didn't think I'd induced the problem. No rogue emails or illicit net surfing and started listing the sites I'd gone to the past few days - the government of Canada, the local news channel, the local community booster page, amazon, a couple of office supply sites etc. It appeared he'd already checked my history and knew I'd been good anyway. He just said to call him if the PC went wonky after he left and continued on his travels - didn't make me feel stupid once. At home, my old faithful is allowing me a lot more range of activities, but I was leery of filing my Dad's taxes that way. If that isn't done on time, then his senior's benefits could be compromised. Number four son took his paperwork to the local tax specialist in our strip mall. Everything is done and submitted. Real weight off my mind.

Odd thing at the chiropractor's office today. My chiropractor was using one of his new techniques, working on the small of my back. All of sudden there was a very powerful release of energy from the area of the Manipura Chakra - just above and behind the navel. It had a blue-black aspect and to the mind's eye resembled a whip handle. It snaked to the right forming almost a question mark; re-entered the spinal column at the level of the base of the neck traveling upward and out the crown chakra. It left me without speech momentarily and I struggled a bit to explain the experience to my doctor. He has always just quietly heard what I have to say ever since I started seeing him. Often it is obvious he goes and researches a bit then comes back with comments. Think I'll be reading and meditating on the manifestation too. Really tired after though.
